Spain’s EU-harmonized 12-month inflation rose to 1.8% in October, up from 1.7% in September, according to final data released by the National Statistics Institute (INE) on Thursday.

This 12-month inflation rate matched both INE’s flash estimate from two weeks ago and the average forecast from analysts surveyed by Reuters.

Core inflation, excluding volatile food and energy prices, increased to 2.5% over the year through October, up from 2.4% the previous month, as reported by INE.

National consumer prices in Spain also rose to 1.8% over the 12 months through October, compared to 1.5% in September.

This final reading aligned with INE’s previous flash estimate and Reuters analysts’ expectations.
