Southwest Airlines announced on Tuesday that it has finalized an agreement to sell and lease back 36 of its Boeing 737-800 aircraft through Babcock & Brown Aircraft Management.

The airline successfully completed the sale and leaseback of 35 aircraft in late December, generating $871 million in proceeds.

The lease agreements for these jets will span between 26 and 37 months, during which Southwest Airlines will pay rental fees for their use.
